Replay and track user behavior sessions on checkout by creating heatmaps

How does it work?

You can integrate Hotjar with Checkout X to track the user behavior on checkout. The integration allows you to monitor shopper behavior during checkout with Hotjar recordings on the following pages:

• Checkout page - see what people do on your checkout once they arrive on it.
• Upsells page - get the data you need to find out how the customer reacts to the buttons on the upsell page.
• Thank you page - track the behavior of the customers once they check their purchase information.

Hotjar tracks the following actions of the customer depending on the device they’ve used when they’ve opened a specific page:

On desktop:

• Clicks
• Direction of mouse movement
• Scroll

On mobile:

• Taps
• Scroll

How can I set up the integration?

Set up Hotjar to track only on Checkout X

Create or log in to your Hotjar account and link the store you will use the integration for. Then, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Hotjar Dashboard.

2. Copy the Site ID from the URL in Hotjar related to your store.
