What is a “scarcity timer” and how does it work?

This is a 10:00 min countdown timer that is used to heighten the natural response of the person to scarcity. It is a well-known trick in e-commerce. This way, the feeling of urgency in the customer is strengthened and it makes them think that the product is exclusive and limited, making them buy it instinctively as fast as possible, so they won’t miss the offer.

Also, after the time runs out, the information on the checkout page will still be saved.

Note: Once you activate it, the scarcity timer will be shown on the top-left corner above the “Shipping Details” on the checkout page.

How can I add the scarcity timer on my checkout?

1. Login to your Checkout X account
2. Click on Configuration.
3. Go to Customize Checkout.
4. Scroll ****down and find Display a scarcity timer on the Checkout.
5. Check the box if you want to add the scarcity timer field.
6. Don’t forget to click Save Checkout.
7. Done!

You can edit or translate the text of the timer by following the instructions below:
