What is a Cart Recovery Email?
Your potential customers may leave your store without completing an order due to a variety of reasons. Sending out follow up emails are the best way to remind your customers about yourself.
How to add a Cart Recovery email in Checkout X
Checkout X has already a built-in Cart Recovery email feature and you can use it as simple as clicking a couple of buttons. You don’t even need to fill out any of the details to be up and running.
- Go to your Checkout X Dashboard
- Go to Configuration > Cart Recovery page
- If this is the first time you create a Cart Recovery Email, just click on the Add a Recovery Email button
- Simply click on the Save Email button at the bottom of the page to use the default settings. You don’t need to provide any further information if you don’t want to

Customize the Cart Recovery Email
You can fine-tune your Cart Recovery emails by changing email’s subject, body, button title or email footer and make sure you convince as many customers as possible to return back and complete their purchase.
- Go to your Checkout X Dashboard
- Go to Configuration > Cart Recovery page
- Click on the Cart Recovery Email you would like to edit
- Select when you want to send your email out
- Edit Email Subject and Email Title
- Make your Email Body more convincing, i.e add a discount code
- Modify the Call to Action Button text in your email
